Frequently Asked Questions
What Insurances do you accept?
Please do not hesitate to call our office and our Insurance Specialists will be more than happy to verify your specific Physical Therapy benefits along with our clinic's participation with your insurance plan.
What Payment Options do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover
Can I be seen by a physical therapist without a referral?
Florida state law allows a limited Direct Access to physical therapy. This means a patient may be seen by a physical therapist without a physician of record (doctor's referral or signed Plan of Care) for up to 30 days. This allows for a decreased cost of healthcare and improved patient outcomes. However, some insurances do require a doctor's referral before treatment. If you are interested in Direct Access, please call the clinic to set up an appointment and verify that a doctor's referral is not required by your insurance.
What should I bring with me to my first appointment?
Please bring any pertinent records from your doctor, a list of your medications, and name of primary care doctor. We also recommend bringing in a list of any questions or concerns you may have for your therapist. Please make sure that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that you can provide us the necessary paperwork and insurance information needed prior to your appointment. To save time, you can also print the Intake Forms located on our 'New Patient Forms' page, and bring them completed to your appointment.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Per our Cancellation Policy given upon your first appointment at our clinic, if you do not call or show up to a scheduled appointment OR cancel an appointment the same day and do not reschedule within the same work week, it will be counted as a "No-Show." However, if you call and cancel an appointment 24 hours in advance, there is no fee / penalty. There will be a grace period of two No-Shows where the patient will not be charged, and on the third No-Show there will be a $50 fee for that visit and each thereafter.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing (as if you were exercising) and sneakers. We recommend wearing clothing that allows easy access to your injured body part or region.
How long does each visit take?
The initial visit takes a little longer than the subsequent visits due to the paperwork that you need to fill out, in addition to the completion of the assessment process. A typical Physical Therapy session lasts 60 minutes. However, depending on the condition severity and complexity a session can range anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes.
Will I see the same physical therapist every time?
We will make every attempt to schedule you with the therapist you desire to see. However, there may be times when another physical therapist will treat you to accommodate your schedule. All of our physical therapists are fully-licensed and enjoy delivering high-quality care.
